I had lunch with Dr. Ravi and his wife yesterday and we discussed a few different dates. I think that the three doctors should collaborate a few different dates and throw them back to the team. I also had a concern about liability. If we were going to work in a wound clinic I won't be as apprehensive. However, we are doing surgery and as we all know surgery is a risk. I contacted the Nurses Association and they said that normally if we are going into another country we need to be registered with that country. However, due to the extenuating circumstances Haiti maybe waiving this. If this is so the NB Nurses Association would cover the nurses case for liability. The representative from the Association is looking into it and will contact the Dept of Health in Haiti. I was wondering if anyone had researched this yet? Dean or Charles may have some information? You just never know!
